Look: Julian Edelman Has A Birthday Message For Tom Brady

Earlier this offseason, rumors emerged suggesting Julian Edelman would be taking his talents to play with former teammate Tom Brady.

Edelman was reportedly deciding between retiring or playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of course, the New England Patriots would have had to agree to that scenario.

In the end, Edelman decided it was time to walk away from the game. Despite deciding not to play alongside Brady once again, he and Edelman remain close friends.

That was on full display this afternoon when he had a birthday message for Brady. The longtime Patriots wide receiver reckoned back to their old days together when Brady couldn’t seem to find a partner for his high-fives.

“Will someone give my friend @TomBrady a high five today? It’s his birthday. HBD bubs,” Edelman said.

The video Edelman used shows Brady throwing a ball into the jugs machine, which went viral when the Buccaneers quarterback posted it last week.

It’s clearly fake, but viewers watching from home couldn’t believe what they were seeing at first.

Leave it to Edelman to turn that video into a birthday wish for his friend.
