Look: Carson Wentz Instagram Caption Is Going Viral

On Thursday, Washington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz posted a sponsored ad for Bobcat Company on both his Instagram and Twitter accounts.

It wasn’t the photos of the NFL quarterback driving a tractor that drew the attention of fans around the league, it was the caption alongside of them.

“Building a higher road,” Wentz wrote.

Many fans and analysts believe this caption could be a shot at the Indianapolis Colts organization and team owner Jim Irsay.

After just one season with Wentz at the helm, the Colts traded the former No. 2 overall pick to Washington and signed longtime Atlanta QB Matt Ryan.

Yesterday, Irsay said the Carson Wentz era in Indianapolis was a “mistake.”

“I think the worst thing you can do is have a mistake and try to keep living with it going forward,” Irsay said, per the Indianapolis Star. “For us, it was something we had to move away from as a franchise. It was very obvious.”

Wentz and the Colts missed the playoffs after a late-season collapse derailed their 2021 campaign. With the way things ended in Indianapolis and Irsay’s recent jabs, it’s fair to wonder if Wentz has some ill will toward the organization that dumped him after just one season.

Wentz will look for a fresh start with the Commanders in 2022.
