The Big 12 has responded to the latest rumors stating that ESPN played a role in Oklahoma and Texas’ move to the SEC.

Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby has sent a cease and desist letter to ESPN this Wednesday. In this letter, Bowlsby states that ESPN reached out to at least one of the remaining Big 12 teams about potentially leaving the conference.

“It has come to my direct attention that ESPN, the current business partner of the Big 12 Conference, has taken certain actions that are intended to not only harm the Big 12 Conference but to result in financial benefits for ESPN,” Bowlsby wrote. “Setting aside ESPN’s potential involvement in the recent announcement by the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma that they intend to leave the Big 12 Conference in 2025 (as to which we reserve all legal rights), I am aware that ESPN has also been actively engaged in discussions with at least one other conference regarding that conference inducing additional members of the Big 12 Conference to leave the Big 12 Conference.”

While this should be the main story in the college football world this afternoon, it appears Bowlsby’s bizarre signature is stealing the spotlight.

Bowlsby’s signature looks quite odd to say the least. In fact, it doesn’t even resemble any part of his name.

“What in the world is that signature,” one fan tweeted. Another fan replied “Bowlsby’s signature is something.”

Bowlsby’s signature is about as whacky as the recent realignment taking place in college football.
