A keen sense of humor apparently runs in the Manning family. Arch Manning, the most coveted quarterback in the 2023 class–maybe the biggest name in high school football–knows how to troll the college football community.

Arch, the singular five-star prospect in ESPN’s 2023 rankings, is the son of Cooper Manning, grandson of Archie Manning and nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.

Rebel Nation held its breath this week as Arch tripped to Oxford, Mississippi for his official Ole Miss visit. Archie (former New Orleans Saint) and Eli (two-time Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants) both starred for the Rebels.

In a viral video posted on Twitter by “Mississippi Boomhauer,” Arch made a joke that might be too dark for Ole Miss fans to enjoy.

“I think I’ve decided I’m 100% going to Mississippi State,” Arch says in the video with a smile.

The precocious passer is just having fun with the constant attention from fans and media. By all accounts, Ole Miss’ biggest rival is off limits for the Manning family.

But just to be safe, Eli swiftly clarified the situation.

Arch Manning has virtually every major program in the country after him. He’s already made several visits this summer.

It is still probably going to be a while before he actually makes a commitment though.
