Longtime local fixture hired as Beaver County Chamber of Commerce president

BEAVER — A longtime fixture in Beaver County government will be the next Beaver County Chamber of Commerce president.

Lance Grable has worked in Beaver County government for the better part of two decades, serving as Redevelopment Authority executive director and Office of Planning and Redevelopment director for the past eight years.

Most recently, Grable spearheaded a multi-year effort to extend internet access to unserved and underserved residents through the Connect Beaver County broadband program. Leaders celebrated the completion of the program’s early action projects in March.

“It will be an honor to lead the chamber for the next major chapter of my career,” Grable said. “To me, it’s all about helping to make Beaver County the most attractive place to live and work. Working in tandem with the chamber board and staff, we will set and realize truly remarkable goals for the county in the months and years ahead.”

Chamber board members on Wednesday said Grable brings a wealth of experience in private and public sector work and has “partnered with many of the same stakeholders that are essential to the chamber’s success.”

“His knowledge of local, state and federal programs and processes were particularly germane to the chamber’s hiring goals.” the board said in a news release.

“The chamber’s board took the challenge of identifying the next president extremely seriously and is gratified to select Lance Grable for this important role,” said chamber board President Kathryn Klaber. “We are very bullish on the prospects for additional value to the chamber’s members and organizational growth that Lance will bring.”

The chamber is Beaver County’s leading business development organization. Grable fills the role left late last year by Donna Lee Siple, who stepped down from her position pending a move to Nashville.
