The transformation of Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn continues as a recent construction ceremony marked the final beam coming into place for the site’s new hotel tower.

The hotel tower will include about 400 guestrooms, “expanded gaming, an indoor pool, spa services, and a rooftop steakhouse among its amenities,” according to a release from the casino.

On Friday, the last beam for the site’s new resort tower was lifted into place in a topping ceremony.

The 1,000-pound, 25-foot-long beam included the signatures of Muckleshoot Indian Tribal members as well as construction workers building the 18-story structure.

The new tower, first announced in spring 2019, is set to be complete fall of next year.

Original plans in 2019 called for the tower to open last year, but plans were pushed out the following year. Construction has faced delays, including a concrete strike, according to Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.
