Lola Consuelos Gets Candid About Mom Kelly Ripa’s Instagram Skills: ‘We’ve Had Plenty of Conversations’

As far as Kelly Ripa (52) and Mark Consuelos’s (52) social media skills go, their daughter Lola Consuelos believes they’ve come a long way.
While sitting down with E! News for a candid interview, the recent college grad shared how both of her parents have gotten better at using Instagram over the years.
“They’ve improved so much in terms of their Instagram skills and they know me at this point,” Lola explained in reference to what they might share about her. “We’ve had plenty of conversations. They know what line they can or can’t cross.”
And Lola is keeping her fingers crossed that the two of them will continue to avoid cringeworthy posts. “Honestly, I don’t want to speak too soon,” she continued. “But nothing recently has really embarrassed me. I’m scared of even saying that.”
All cringy content aside, the 22-year-old shared that she loves having her parents as her “built-in mentors.” She said, “I’ve always seen them stay really true to themselves and authentic and grounded.”
Lola added, “That's the best advice and it’s not even advice because I have grown up watching them work like that. I am really grateful to have them as built-in mentors, I don’t even have to pay for them. They’ve just been there.”
Since graduating from NYU, Lola has moved back home to live with her parents. Ripa has shared countless stories on Live about what it’s been like having their daughter back home. Back in February, the Live Wire author recounted the time Lola walked in on her and Mark relaxing in bed.
“It’s so funny, my daughter came into the room, and she was FaceTiming with her brothers, so they came to see the parents,” Ripa said, according to Hello! Magazine. “And they're like ‘Mom, what’re you doing?’ And Lola said, ‘Well basically, our parents are now grandparents because dad is sleeping and it’s 6 PM and mom is knitting.’”
Ripa couldn’t help but laugh, “Is that all there is? What's the next step to this, vodka and prune juice? Looking forward to sunset so we can go to sleep?”
