In 2010, fans of Rick Riordan's famed Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series were introduced to a young actor named Logan Lerman. Famous for working in projects like Hoot and 3:10 to Yuma, he was tasked with bringing the titular character to life in a film adaptation of the hit literary franchise.

Working alongside The White Lotus star Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson, Logan quickly gained notoriety for his innocent yet charming portrayal of Percy Jackson. What's more, the film (aptly titled Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief after the first novel) was proven to be successful, with a sequel (called Sea of Monsters) debuting in theaters in 2013.

While it's been over a decade since we saw Percy Jackson on screen, Disney+ granted viewers with a new interpretation of the role when the hit series Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuted on the streamer in December 2023. Additionally, given how much time has elapsed since the films premiered, viewers see Walker Scobell try his hand at playing Percy. So far, it's proven to be quite a success, and folks continuously tune in week after week to see how this version of the story differs from the one they saw years before.

But with a new actor portraying the beloved character, fans of the franchise have one question on their minds: Will Logan Lerman be in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series?

As much as we'd love to see Logan make an appearance in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, it looks like that is a no-go.

When speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in August 2022 about making a cameo in the Disney+ series, Logan shared he wouldn't be working on the remake in any capacity. Despite this, he was excited to learn that the story would be retold for a new audience.

"It's awesome that they're making it, and I'm excited to see them do it," he said at the time. "Everything I've seen so far, peripherally, just about casting and how they're doing it, and that Rick [Riordan] is running it, just makes me happy... It makes me happy for the fans and excited for this new generation to watch it."

Despite the fact Logan will not be gracing fans with his presence in the series, it doesn't mean he didn't have some words of encouragement for the current young cast. When Walker and his co-stars Leah Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri (who play Annabeth and Grover) did a panel for the Happy Sad Confused podcast back in December 2023, host Josh Horowitz revealed Logan had a praiseworthy message for them.

"The show looks amazing, and I can’t wait to see you all crush it in your roles," Josh read of the note, per People. "You’re making a lot of people happy bringing these characters to life. I can’t imagine a better fit for Percy Jackson than Walker... Hope you like eating blue food the next few years, because I think you’ve got a hit show on your hands."
