CHILLICOTHE — Local fourth-grader Ainsley Weaver from Paint Valley has been working her way through the Elks National Hoop Shoot winning in her category locally and state-wide representing Chillicothe Lodge #52.

Her talent took her all the way to the national competition where she tied with 25 of 25 shots to go into a shoot-off where she made all five free shots, winning her the National Hoop Shoot for the girls 8 to 9 year age division. She was also awarded the Getty Powell Award for the highest girl score out of all age divisions with 10 out of 10 shots.

Her scores helped the Great Lakes Region 4 win the Cronk Award for most combined shots during the weekend event in Chicago.
