LMPD find no threat at Academy @ Shawnee after active aggressor report

Students are returning to classes at the Academy @ Shawnee after a report of an active aggressor on the campus was determined to be false, officials said.

Jefferson County Public Schools spokesperson Carolyn Callahan said a Louisville Metro Police investigation found there was never a threat to the school, but officials do not believe it was a swatting call similar to those that have come in to area schools in recent weeks. Officers have already cleared the building.

Dismissal should not be impacted, Callahan said.
