'Lizzie McGuire' Producer Stan Rogow Dead at 75

Emmy-nominated producer Stan Rogow has died at age 75.
On Thursday, Dec. 7, Rogow—known for producing Lizzie McGuire and Fame—died at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif., a spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday.
In addition to working as a producer for Disney Channel's Lizzie McGuire series from 2001 to 2004, Rogow produced The Lizzie McGuire Movie in 2003. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for the NBC series Fame—alongside William Blinn and two others—for Outstanding Drama Series in 1982. Additionally, Rogow was known working as a producer for 1994's Men of War.
Hilary Duff, who played the titular character in Lizzie McGuire took to Instagram with a touching tribute to Rogow in the wake of his death.
"Writing this right now is bringing back so many distant memories of what feels like a completely different lifetime...One where I had absolutely no clue where I was heading or how I was getting there, but where I had that eagerness and blind optimism that accompanies youth and your first opportunities to step up, " Duff shared on Saturday with her followers.
She continued, "You heavily cherish the people who first believe and see something in you, and for me, there was a very special person who fought for me to land a role that would change the entire course of my life...and I am so very sad to hear of his passing today."

Duff concluded her post, writing, "Stan — thank you for thinking I had 'that special thing.' Thank you for helping create a reality I could have never dreamed of. Thinking of your family and your son Jackson at this time. Rest easy Stan x HD."
Rogow is survived by his son, Jackson Rogow; a grandson, Vega; and a sister, Marian.
