Live voting results for the August 2022 New York Primary Election

The polls have closed in New York’s second primary election for State Senate and U.S. House of Representatives after the state’s primaries were split up by a court-ordered redrawing of the State Senate and House map. The first primary election took place in June.

Included in this primary is the Democratic political showdown in New York state’s 12th Congressional District between Rep. Carolyn Maloney, 76, and Rep. Jerrold Nadler, 75, two long-time liberal lawmakers whose districts were smashed together this year, and longshot Suraj Patel, a 38-year-old lawyer.

Please note, in the contested New York State Senate races listed below, all are Democratic primaries. Republicans have traditionally cooperated to avoid primaries for the Legislature.
