The Miami Dolphins have a Week 13 date with the Washington Commanders in the nation's capital on Sunday. Keep scrolling for updates, and remember to refresh the page to stay up-to-date.

Head coach Mike McDaniel leads quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins (8-3) against the Commanders (4-8) in a 1 p.m. kickoff. Fox is scheduled to broadcast the AFC East-NFC East matchup.

Tagovailoa and star wide receiver Tyreek Hill will continue a historic pursuit of 2,000 receiving yards in a single season against the NFL's worst statistical secondary. Hill enters the game as the NFL leader in receiving yards (1,324) and touchdowns (10).

Running back Raheem Mostert is second in the NFL in rushing yards (785) and leads in rushing touchdowns (13). He could get backfield help with the return of rookie De'Von Achane, who's battled injuries in his first NFL season.

Defensively, Miami is dealing with injuries to defensive back Jevon Holland, who did not practice Wednesday or Thursday but returned to action Friday.

The Commanders limp into the contest after a disastrous 45-10 loss at the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 331 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

Washington quarterback Sam Howell enters the contest as the NFL leader in passing yards (3,339).

Miami leads the all-time series 9-6 but the Dolphins lost their most recent matchup 17-16 on Oct. 13, 2019 in Miami Gardens.

Dolphins smash Commanders

Final score: Dolphins 45, Commanders 15

The Miami Dolphins improved to 9-3 with a dominant performance on the road. Washington fell to 4-9 overall.

The Dolphins are winning 45-15 with 1:57 left in the fourth quarter.

Dolphins cruising to victory in fourth quarter

Miami holds a 38-15 lead with just over 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Commanders will take over on offense inside the Washington red zone after a nice punt from Miami's Jake Bailey.

De'Von Achane adds to Dolphins blowout in D.C.

It's a full-on rout in D.C. as rookie running back De'Von Achane plowed in from 1-yard out to extend the Miami advantage to 38-7 in the third quarter.

Miami is averaging 8.5 yards per play and is outgaining Washington 320-130 in total yards.

Raheem Mostert grows Dolphins lead before halftime

Raheem Mostert added to his NFL lead in rushing touchdowns moments before halftime with a 2-yard rush to grow the Dolphins lead to 31-7.

Mostert now has 14 rushing touchdowns in the 2023 regular season.

Tyreek Hill explodes for second long touchdown

Tyreek Hill has his second long touchdown of the first half as the star wide receiver caught a 60-yard touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa to extend Miami's lead.

Hill has three catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.

Miami leads Washington 24-7 midway through the second quarter.

Andrew Van Ginkel pick-six touchdown

The Miami Dolphins are absolutely dominating the Washington Commanders in the first quarter.

It was the longest play of the season for the Miami Dolphins

Mike McDaniel loses early challenge

The Dolphins head coach fell to 2-10 all-time on challenges after McDaniel threw the red flag over an early reception on the Commanders' first drive.

The call stood and Washington moved near midfield with another completion after the review.

Dolphins set for kickoff at Washington Commanders

The Dolphins are set for 1 p.m. in kickoff at Washington.

Miami won the opening coin toss and deferred to the second half.

11:30 a.m. | Jevon Holland is OUT today vs. Washington Commanders

Safety Jevon Holland, who had that dynamic 99-yard interception return last week against the Jets, will miss today's game with injuries to his knees.

Holland did not practice Wednesday and Thursday and was limited Friday.

The Dolphins will have rookie running back De'Von Achane in uniform today. Achane has been hampered by a knee injury and has just one carry for 1 yard since the Oct. 8 game against the New York Giants.

Achane is averaging 11.8 yards per carry, but Raheem Mostert is second in the league in rushing and first in rushing touchdowns, so Miami should have its 1-2 punch today.

The Dolphins also will have left tackle Terron Armstead on the field today.
