The Chiefs are on the road for their Week 7 game Sunday afternoon, taking on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.

Both teams are coming off losses. The Chiefs dropped a 24-20 decision to the Buffalo Bills at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, while the 49ers fell 28-14 at the Atlanta Falcons.

The 4-2 Chiefs and 3-3 Niners meet for the first time since Super Bowl LIV — a championship game won 31-21 by the Chiefs.

Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay has been activated after a four-game suspension. Starting left guard Joe Thuney will also play. See the rest of the inactives here.

Final score: Chiefs 44, 49ers 23

The 49ers looked like they might back in the game during the fourth quarter with a touchdown from George Kittle off a Jimmy Garoppolo throw.

The Chiefs quickly, responded, however, with a third touchdown from Mecole Hardman. Then a play led by Frank Clark netted another two points for KC.

Kansas City’s Juju Smith-Schuster sealed the deal with a 45-yard touchdown.

In the third quarter, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Justin Watson made touchdowns to increase the Chiefs’ lead over the 49ers. The 49ers’ Robbie Gould scored another field goal.

In the second quarter, the Chiefs took the lead with a 25-yard run by Mecole Hardman. The 49ers also got a field goal.

The 49ers had taken an early lead with a field goal and touchdown, which the Chiefs matched with a Hardman touchdown in the first quarter.
