SF 7th drive continues, DAL 2: 2nd-and-goal. Christian McCaffrey scores on 2-yard run on first play of the fourth quarter. Robbie Gold’s extra point gives 49ers a 16-9 lead with 14:58 left.
Third quarter notes
SF 7th drive, SF 9: 49ers put together lengthy drive, moving to the DAL 10 on final play of the third quarter. It will be 2nd-and-goal at DAL 2 when fourth quarter begins.
DAL 7th drive, DAL 9: Cowboys immediately get out of big hole with a 45-yard pass from Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb. However, the Cowboys don’t pick up any more yards and punt it away to the 49ers. Fair catch at SF 9. 5:58 left.
SF 6th drive, DAL 47: Big kick return sets up 49ers drive. However, the opportunity is wasted. 3-and-out from there. Punt to DAL 9.
DAL 6th drive, SF 21: Cowboys take advantage of the fumbled punt return, moving to the SF 7 where Brett Maher boots a 25-yard field goal to tie the game 9-9 with 9:08 remaining in the quarter.
DAL 5th drive, DAL 25: First drive of the quarter dies at the DAL 47. forcing a punt. However, the 49ers McCloud fumbles, recovered by DAL’s Clark at the SF 21.

SF 5th drive, SF 28: 49ers again take advantage of the Cowboys’ turnover, moving to the DAL 32 where Robbie Gould boots his third field goal of the half, a 51-yarder as time expires in the half. 49ers lead 9-6.
DAL 4th drive, DAL 25: Cowboys drive into the SF territory, where on 2nd-and-2 at SF 18, Dak Prescott is picked off for the second time. This time by Fred Warner who returns ball to the SF 28. 1:15 left in half.
SF 4th drive, SF 25: 49ers respond and march down the field, going 10 plays and 46 yards that ends with another Robbie Gould field goal (this one from 47 yards). Game tied 6-6 with 3:43 left in the half.
DAL 3rd drive continues, DAL 41: Cowboys complete the march down the field, completing a 14-play, 74-yard drive that ends with a Dak Prescott to Dalton Schultz 4-yard touchdown pass. Brett Maher’s extra point is blocked. Cowboys lead 6-3 with 9:25 left in the half.
First quarter notes

Pregame antics
The 49ers messed with Cowboys kicker Brett Maher prior to Sunday’s game, not allowing him to practice from their side of the field. Maher, who missed four extra points last week against Tampa Bay, was on the field a long time before the start of the game.
