Colts storylines vs. Raiders

∎ The Colts' offense struggled against Atlanta without Michael Pittman Jr., who missed the game with reoccurring concussion symptoms after he had been cleared to play. Quarterback Gardner Minshew had his least efficient game of the season (58.5 rating) and was sacked 6 times.

∎ The Colts are missing safety Julian Blackmon − their third-leading tackler who leads them in interceptions (4) − through the end of the regular season with a shoulder injury. Second-year player Nick Cross gets a chance to shine.

∎ The Colts are 5-2 in their past seven games. In their wins, the Colts have registered at least 4 sacks. In their losses, 0 and 1. Last weekend against Atlanta is the first time this season they failed to get a takeaway.

Purdue's Aidan O'Connell of Raiders has inconsistent performance

∎ Aidan O'Connell, a 4th-round draft pick from Purdue, has taken the reins as the Raiders' quarterback. He has appeared in 9 games and is 4-4 as a starter. In Las Vegas' win last weekend over the Chiefs, he connected on 9 first-quarter passes, but did not complete a pass the rest of the way, finishing 9-of-21 for 62 yards.

The week before, as the Raiders put up 63 points on the Los Angeles Chargers, O'Connell passed for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The week before that, the Raiders were shut out by the Minnesota Vikings.

∎ Running back Josh Jacobs was a late scratch against the Chiefs with a quad injury and illness. Zamir White filled in with 145 rushing yards.

∎ The Las Vegas defense has scored at least 1 defensive touchdown each of the past two weeks, and it has registered 12 sacks over the past three weeks.
