Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella solve a murder in new Netflix movie
Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella are set to solve a murder in the new Netflix movie Once Upon a Crime.
Directed by Yuichi Fukuda and based on the manga Little Red Riding Hood Meets a Corpse on Her Journey by Aito Aoyagi, the Japanese fantasy drama will be released on Netflix on September 14.
"The novel is a bold story that follows Little Red Riding Hood as she hunts criminals who commit crimes in famous fairy tales such as Cinderella and Hänsel and Gretel, and it gained popularity for its sophisticated mystery-solving turns and twists. Now adapted into film by director Yuichi Fukuda, the creator of hit comedies," reads a 2021 Netflix press release.

The newly released trailer for Once Upon a Crime shows Little Red Riding as she meets Cinderella on the road. After Cinderella is transformed into a princess, the pair attend a ball at the castle.
At the castle they meet and dance with the handsome Prince, that is, until a murder is committed. The Prince is later arrested and taken off in handcuffs.
In an attempt to clear the Prince's name, Little Red Riding Hood sets out to solve the mystery with the help of her friend Cinderella.

"I have a hunch about these things," Little Red Riding Hood says to her friend when they discover a murder weapon before adding: "It means he was already dead."
Making her Netflix debut, Once Upon a Crime stars Kanna Hashimoto as Little Red Riding Hood. The actress is best known for her starring role in the live-action version of the manga and anime series Assassination Classroom.
Meanwhile, Yuko Araki will take on the role of Cinderella alongside High & Low: The Story of S.W.O.R.D star Takanori Iwata who will star as the Prince.
