Kids bond with animals so quickly. And once they do find their soul pet, they're BFFS for life. Video of a little girl taking good care of her calico kitty is solid proof of this. And it's enough to make any parent run out and adopt a kitten ASAP.

As the video shows, every single time little Natalie sits down for a meal, she goes the extra mile for her cat.

As the video shows, the sweetie always asks that her cat gets its own (cat appropriate) version of her meal. Which doesn't seem to bother the chef — aka, her mom. — one bit. She always makes sure to put aside a little plate of food for the calico after feeding her daughter. And together, Natalie and her cat sit at the counter and have the perfect dinners.

"My daughter wants to make sure her kitty is also included in every family meal," the mama explained in the onscreen caption.

"Her kitty thinks it is a person," she joked in the caption.

Not only did people in the comments section love the tradition, they were impressed by how well-behaved Natalie and her cat were. "The way she tapped the kitty to say 'hey here’s your food.' Hahahah too cute," wrote one person. "Get that kitty some proper silverware right MEOW!" someone else demanded. "Y'all setting the bar too high. Now I’ll have to spoil the new kitten I’m adopting next week," added a third person.

Human Foods That Cats Are Allowed to Eat

We know, we know — you should only feed your cat pet food. But we'd be lying if we said we've never been tempted to slip them some of our dinner every now and again. While it shouldn't become a habit, there are some human foods that cats can safely eat. Here are just a few of them, which you should keep in mind next time a part of your dinner falls on the ground.

Meats are okay for cats to ingest. Anything from beef, to liver, chicken, turkey, and lamb are a-okay. It is important that meat is cooked thoroughly and that there are no skin or bones to keep it cat safe.

Fish is another food that cats can have (and enjoy!). Again, just make sure all fish is properly cooked.

Whole grains are also perfectly fine for cats to eat. Things like oats, corn, brown rice, or couscous also contain protein and are okay for cats.

Again, the best thing you can do is feed your pet their cat food. And just like Natalie, it doesn't hurt to make your cat feel like they're one of the family.
