A list of Wichita restaurants offering free, discounted meals on Veterans Day 2022

Veterans Day is Friday, and it’s time for veterans and the people who dine with them to begin mapping out how to best collect on the many free thank-you meals being offered at Wichita restaurants.

Here’s a list of specials. Keep in mind that all the specials require a military ID, and most are offered to active duty and retired military members.

Applebee’s, many Wichita locations: Free entree from a special menu

Aroma Coffeehouse, 7348 W. 21st North: Free house brew for veterans

The Barn, 307 W. Dean St., Burrton: Free meal for dine-in only

B&C Barbecue, 355 N. Washington: Free #2 meal featuring half pound of meat and three sides from the buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BJ’s Brewhouse, 7960 E. Kellogg: Free meal from a select menu and a Dr. Pepper. Dine-in only.

Bonefish Grill, 10250 E. 13th St.: Free order of Bang Bang Shrimp and a soft drink

Bricktown Brewery, 2142 N. Tyler, 2035 N. Rock Road: Free meal from select menu plus $10 coupons toward a future visit. Dine-in only.

Bubba’s 33, 412 S. Towne East Mall Drive: Free entree from special menu plus soft drink or coffee from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who can’t dine in person can pick up a rain check voucher good through May 30.

Carrabba’s, 3409 N. Rock Road: Free dine-in appetizer or dessert paired and soft drink. Carrabba’s also offers a Heroes Discount of 10% off year round.

Casey’s, several Wichita locations: Free coffee

Chili’s, several Wichita locations: Free meal from special menu.

Cici’s Pizza, 8320 W. Central: Free buffet, dine-in only.

Cracker Barrel, 619 S. Ridge Road, 995 E. 61st St. North: Free slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake with purchase in-store or online. Also offering 25% off military apparel both in-store and online through Monday.

Connie’s Mexico Cafe, 2227 N. Broadway: 50% off of meals (excluding alcohol)

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, 3248 N Rock Road: Free medium Blizzard.

Denny’s, 4024 E. Harry: Free build-your-own Grand Slam breakfast offered from 5 a.m. to noon for dine-in only.

Donut Whole, 1720 E. Douglas: Free doughnut

Dunkin’, several Wichita locations: Free doughnut.

The Easy Egg, 5700 W Kellogg Drive: 30% off bills for veterans

Firebird’s Wood Fired Grill, 10096 E. 13th St.: Free meal for veterans who bring a paying guest. Free meal must be of equal or lesser value.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, several Wichita locations: Veterans can get a free combo meal card, no purchase necessary, that can be redeemed through Nov. 30.

Golden Corral, 616 S. Ridge Road Circle: This restaurant’s free meal won’t happen until Monday, when veterans will be able to get a free thank-you dinner from 5 p.m. to close. Dine-in only.

IHOP, several Wichita locations: Free red, white and blueberry pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Jimmie’s Diner, 3111 N. Rock Road, 1519 George Washington Blvd.: 25% off meals for veterans and military in uniform, 10% off meals for those with military ID. Dine-in or carryout.

Jimmy’s Egg, All area locations: One free entree up to $12 in value

LaMar’s Donuts, 10051 W. 21st St., 3130 N. Rock Road: Free doughnut and 12-ounce coffee

Livingston’s Diner, 9747 E. 21st St. North: 30% off

Molino’s, 1064 N. Waco, 2035 N. Rock Road: Free queso with purchase of a regular meal

The No Bake Cafe, 3700 E. Douglas: Free single scoop of edible raw cookie dough

Paradise Donuts, 10607 Maple St., 612 E. Douglas: Veterans get a free traditional doughnut and free small coffee

Old Tokyo Steakhouse, 6821 W. Taft: 20% off meals

On the Border, 1930 N. Rock Road, 2347 N. Maize Road: Free pick two combo

Outback Steakhouse, 233 S. Ridge Road: Free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca Cola product for veterans and their spouses. Dine-in only.

Pizza Ranch, 2121 N. Tyler: One free adult buffet

Red Lobster, 555 S. West St., 333 S. Towne East Mall Drive: Free Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, fries and coleslaw between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Red Robin, 9990 E. 13th St. North, 7355 W. Taft: Free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and fries

Sojourner’s Coffee House, 7130 W. Maple: The Kitchen restaurant will serve free breakfast for veterans at Sojourner’s Coffee House from 8:30 pm. until supplies run out.

Texas Roadhouse, 6707 W. Kellogg, 2526 N. Greenwich: The restaurants will be passing out meal vouchers in the parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that can be used any time for the next six months.

Torchy’s Tacos, 2191 N. Rock Road and 2901 North Maize Road: One free taco and non-alcoholic beverage, in-person only.

Twin Peaks, 8310 E. 21st St., 7325 W. Taft: Free lunch from select menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dine-in only.

Village Inn, 7020 W. Central, 1685 S. Rock Road, 3535 S. Meridian, 1200 N. Rock Road, Derby: Free 2-2-2 breakfast featuring two eggs, two link sausages or two strips of bacon, and two pancakes.

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, 2661 N. Maize Road: Free Scholarship burger

Wings & Rings, 2636 N. Greenwich: Free lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
