Is LinkedIn down? A day after Facebook, Instagram outage, another site sees issues

UPDATE 5 P.M.: Users were reporting they were able to log back into LinkedIn about an hour after the peak of outages.

On Tuesday, social media users were treated to hours without Facebook and Instagram as Meta experienced a massive outage. On Wednesday, it was LinkedIn's turn.

Late Wednesday afternoon, business- and employment-focused social media site LinkedIn went down, giving users an error message when they tried to log in.

As of 4:30 p.m. ET, there wasn't any news as to why the Linkedin outage occurred or how long it was expected to last. According to the website Down Detector, more than 46,000 users reported not being able to log into LinkedIn about 4 p.m.

On Tuesday morning, people using Facebook, Instagram and Threads were kicked out of their accounts amid an hours-long outage at Meta with more than half a million people reporting outages at its peak.
