Line of Duty star Kelly Macdonald has teamed up with Loki's Sophia Di Martino for a new vampire movie from Sky Cinema.

Based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Matt Haig, The Radleys will also see Homeland star Damian Lewis take on a dual role as twin brothers Peter and Will.

Developed by comedian Jo Brand, and set for release in 2024, filming for the new dark comedy from writer Talitha Stevenson is already underway in London and Yorkshire.

"Nestled in a quiet, suburban English town live The Radleys. To their neighbours, they are as ordinary as they come, yet beneath the surface, parents Peter (Lewis) and Helen (Macdonald) are concealing a devastatingly dark secret from their teenage children, Rowan and Clara. They are abstaining vampires, choosing not to drink blood despite their natural cravings, yet becoming more and more bloodthirsty by the day," reads the synopsis.

After Clara, the teenage vegan, is attacked during school, her vampiric instincts take over which forces parents Peter and Helen to tell their children the truth, leading them to question their identities.

When Peter's twin brother Will, who is described as a "proud, practicing vampire who openly embraces his hedonistic, bloodthirsty lifestyle", turns up he forces the family to face their repressed urges even further.
