Lima Symphony Chorus names director

May 1—LIMA — The Lima Symphony Chorus has named Ben Gaughran its new director, according to a post on the Lima Symphony Orchestra's Facebook page.

Gaughran, a British-Caribbean conductor, has led choruses in the United States and Great Britain for more than 20 years. Currently, Gaughran is the director of the Orpheus Singers, the Arts Chorale and the University of Michigan Women's Glee Club. Gaughran holds degrees from Royal Holloway, the University of London and the University of Michigan. He is currently continuing his doctoral studies in Ann Arbor.
