Lilly Pulitzer’s Daughters Just Launched a Special Edition Capsule in Time for Summer

The Lilly Pulitzer 65th anniversary celebrations continues.

Today, Minnie and Liza Pulitzer, the daughters of Lily herself, unveiled a special collection paying homage to their late mother. Called Barefoot in Paradise, the 14-piece capsule captures the spirit of the designer's whimsical patterns and the essence of Palm Beach living.

"When we were asked to collaborate with the Lilly company to celebrate 65 years of 'Mom' we were ecstatic," Minnie and Liza tell Town & Country. "Over the years they have been super inclusive and have often reached out to our family for thoughts and input."

Veering away from Lilly's signature statement prints, Minnie and Liza instead opted for blue and white color scheme with a sea-inspired motif: "We meet every morning at sunrise on the beach to start our day, so designing with big blue seashells was a must!"

Featured items include the iconic shift dress (is it really a Lilly Pulitzer collection without a Lilly Pulitzer shift dress?!), caftans, breezy linen separates, a variety of swimsuits, and a sarong to tie your beach or poolside looks together. The collection also includes swim trunks for the man in your life (hint: Father's Day is coming up!) and adorable swim suits for your little ones for a sweet mommy-and-me/father-and-son matching moment.

"It was quite heartfelt to collaborate on this special 65th anniversary collection with Minnie and Liza Pulitzer," says Mira Fain, who has been EVP of design the last 18 years. "They shared their own cherished memories of their mom, specific styles they’ve loved along the way, and some new ones that they’d love to see from us. It was great to hear their perspectives representing various generations in the family, tied to their style as well as resort outfitting needs"

As for what Minnie and Liza think how mom would have reacted to the celebrations? "Mom would have been tickled pink that people still love to be wearing 'Lilly,' the sisters say. "She always felt she was an accidental designer who happened to be in the right place at the right time."
