Lillie Graves, Myah Epps headline rosters for girls basketball 2024 Indiana Futures Game
Rosters for the second annual girls basketball Futures Game have been released. This year’s event is scheduled for Monday, June 3 at Hamilton Southeastern, with the girls tipping off at 6 p.m. followed by the boys at 8 p.m.
The event is limited to freshmen and sophomores, with the 24 players divided into two teams. The North squad will be coached by Cathedral’s Lisa Finn; the South team will be coached by Gibson Southern’s Kyle Brasher.
Lapel sophomore Laniah Wills will represent Central Indiana on the North team — which is headlined by McCutcheon freshman Lillie Graves and Homestead sophomore Myah Epps, two of the top players in their respective classes — while the South roster includes Hamilton Southeastern sophomores Kennedy Holman and Kayla Stidham, Warren Central sophomore Denell Jacobs, Eastern Hancock freshman Kenzie Koch, Lawrence Central sophomores Lola Lampley and Aniyah McKenzie, Plainfield freshman Hannah Menser, and Noblesville sophomore C.C. Quigley.

Here are the 2024 rosters.
NORTH
Laniah Davis, Marquette Catholic, So.: The 5-7 guard led the Trailblazers to a Class A runner-up finish, averaging 19.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 3.2 steals. A 49% shooter, Davis matched her season-high with 31 points (13-of-18 shooting) in the semistate championship game vs. Clinton Central.

Kenedi Bradley, Chesterton, So.: The 5-7 multi-sport standout poured in 14.8 points per game with a 43% shooting percentage. She also averaged 3.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 3.9 steals over 24 games.
Vanessa Rosswurm, Norwell, So.: The 5-9 guard played a key role alongside seniors Kennedy Fuelling and Makenzie Fuess, averaging 11.7 points to help the Knights reach the 3A state championship game.
Joslyn Bricker, Warsaw, So.: A 34% shooter from 3 (51% overall), the 5-8 guard averaged 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.1 steals for the Tigers. She had six 20-point performances, including a season-high 26 in a loss to Norwell.
Khala Williams-Thomas, Fort Wayne Northrop, So.: The 5-10 guard enjoyed a breakout campaign as a sophomore, averaging 17.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 3.4 steals and 1.3 blocks. Williams-Thomas is a 48% shooter.
Gracyn Gilliard, Munster, So.: A 5-9 guard, Gilliard posted career-highs in points (25.9), rebounds (8), assists (2.7) and steals (5.9) per game. She also shot a career-best 49% from the field (198-for-408).
Myah Epps, Homestead, So.: Ranked among the state’s best sophomores, the 5-10 Epps averaged 17.5 points to lead the Spartans to their first regional championship since 2017.
Lillian Barnes, Valparaiso, So.: Another of the state’s top sophomores, the 5-10 point guard led Valpo to its first regional championship in 20 years, averaging 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 4.4 steals and 1.1 blocks.

Gabby Helsom, Homestead, So.: A 5-11 guard/wing, Helsom poured in over 16 points for the regional champs. She scored a team-high 14 points in the semistate semifinal vs. Lake Central.
Lillie Graves, McCutcheon, Fr.: The state’s top-ranked freshman, the 6-0 Graves marked her arrival as a Maverick by averaging 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.7 steals. She shot 46% from the field and had seven games with 30 or more points.

Laniah Wills, Lapel, So.: The 6-0 standout powered the Bulldogs’ run back to semistate, logging 19.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2 steals per game. She shot 53% from the field and netted a game-high 28 points vs. Eastbrook in the regional championship game.
Miley Wareing, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, So.: The 6-2 forward was a driving force behind the Knights’ 2A title run, averaging 11.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.7 blocks. She shot 55% from the field, doing her damage almost entirely from inside the arc.

SOUTH
Kennedy Holman, Hamilton Southeastern, So.: The 5-8 point guard flourished within an expanded role for the sectional runner-up Royals, averaging 11.7 points, 7.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals. She shot 48% from the field and averaged only 2.6 turnovers.
Hannah Menser, Plainfield, Fr.: A rising star from Hendricks County, the 5-8 Menser led the Quakers to their first regional championship since 1998, logging 15.2 points per game. A 41% shooter (39% from 3, 71% at the line), the freshman also averaged 3.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.1 blocks.

Mollie Ernstes, Jennings County, So.: The 5-11 guard was critical to the Panthers’ 23-win campaign, averaging 13.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.6 steals. Ernstes was a much more efficient shooter in her second season, converting 46% from the field and 39% from 3.
Kenzie Koch, Eastern Hancock, Fr.: The 5-8 point guard was dazzling for the senior-heavy semistate runner-up Royals, averaging 18.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.8 steals. Koch, who shot 45% from the field, went coast-to-coast at the end of regulation to force overtime in the semistate semifinal vs. Sheridan.

Denell Jacobs, Warren Central, So.: The 5-7 guard starred alongside sister Denyha Jacobs for the sectional runner-up Warriors, averaging 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 1.5 assists. Denell shot 41% from the field.
Aniyah McKenzie, Lawrence Central, So.: Part of the 4A state champion Bears’ powerful core, the 5-11 forward was a force on the glass, averaging 6.1 rebounds. She scored at a steady clip, too, averaging 11.4 points on 53% shooting. McKenzie rounded out her line with 1.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Kayla Stidham, Hamilton Southeastern, So.: The 6-0 Stidham emerged as a key contributor for the Royals this year, averaging 11.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.8 steals. She shot 38% from the field and converted 63-of-80 free throw attempts. Stidham went for a career-high 28 points vs. Lawrence North in mid-January.
Madalynn Shirley, Evansville Central, So.: The 6-1 post enjoyed a career year in her second varsity season, clocking 19 points, 9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.3 blocks — all career-highs. She shot 53% from the field, 79% at the line and stepped out for 18 3s on 40 attempts.
Paige Schnaus, Gibson Southern, Fr.: The 6-1 center established herself as a major force over the second half of the season and commanded the state’s attention with her buzzer-beating heroics vs. Evansville Memorial in sectional. Schnaus finished the season averaging 9.8 points (54% shooter) and 6.3 rebounds.

C.C. Quigley, Noblesville, So.: The 6-2 forward averaged 9.7 points and shot 59% from the field (73% at the line) for the semistate runner-up Millers. Quigley also averaged 5.2 rebounds and 1 block.
Lola Lampley, Lawrence Central, So.: The nationally ranked 6-2 guard/forward averaged 10.4 points, 6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.4 blocks. Lampley shot 39% from the field for the state champion Bears.

Brooklyn Renn, Silver Creek, So.: One of the state’s top recruits, the 6-3 multi-sport standout averaged 15.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.3 blocks and 2 steals for the 18-win Dragons.
