Zendaya Is Unbelievably Glamorous in a Vintage Leather-and-Lace Gown
Zendaya is this year's recipient of CinemaCon's Star of the Year Award—and she made sure to dress the part.
Working with her longtime friend and stylist, Law Roach, Zendaya showed up at the Las Vegas event in a jaw-dropping vintage Versace gown. The body-hugging, multi-toned piece was made up of a delicate floral lace material in a caramel hue, which elegantly draped into a cowl neckline. The dress additionally included light brown leather panels at the torso and waist, as well as matching leather halter straps and a thin belt cinched at the waist. She kept the rest of the outfit's accessories to a minimum, opting for beige pumps, a stack of gold bracelets, triangle-shaped drop earrings.
While accepting the award onstage at Caesars Palace, the Euphoria star opened up about her love for her craft and the collective experience of watching movies together.
"I think my gift is storytelling—that's what I love to do," the actor said, per People. "It means nothing if those stories don't get to people they need to get to."
She added that movie theaters offer a space "where someone can feel seen" and "feel less alone."
"That's when someone can escape," she continued. "That's where someone can build a new dream. And I have been witness to that, and I've experienced it myself. ... It's been so special because I get to watch what the moviegoing experience does for people. It's healing and it's magical and I feel so grateful to be a part of it."
