We're halfway through summer, which means now is a great time to take stock. How's your entertainment setup looking? Your summer wardrobe? Your kitchen?

If you're finding spots in your space that can use a little bit of something new, listen up: Walmart is having a massive weekend-long sales event. We're talking discounts on TVs, headphones, vacuums, even that Instant Pot you've been thinking about splurging on.

Tis the season of streaming summer blockbusters and, as we speak, the Tokyo Games. What better time to take your home-entertainment game to the next level? On sale for $648 (was $750), the Sony 49-inch 4K Ultra HD LED TV is the latest from the first name in home electronics. The massive 65-inch 4K display is vivid and detailed. Sony’s state-of-the-art Processor X1 powers this beast for true-to-life visuals, while HDR (High Dynamic Range) settings make sure the Olympians' national colors stay true and Black Widow's blacks stay black.

If you don't like earbuds that have silicone tips (you know, the kind that need to nestle inside your ear canals), Apple's original AirPods are a great alternative. They're normally $159, and you won't often find them on sale, but right now Walmart has 'em for just $119 — one of the lowest prices we've ever seen.

That said, they're still on the pricey side compared with some true-wireless earbuds. So why pay extra? Well, for starters, AirPods are a snap to pair with your iPhone or iPad (though they work with Android devices as well), and they automatically do so whenever you take them out of the case. They also have in-ear detection, meaning your music will pause if you take an earbud out — and resume when you put it back. How cool (and energy-saving) is that? And oh yeah: AirPods are particularly great for teleconferencing calls, something to consider in these Zoom-dependent days.

For those of you who want active noise-canceling capabilities, a sweatproof design and support for wireless charging, look to the AirPods Pro, which Walmart currently has on sale for $190 — also one of the best deals on record.
