"Today" Fans Can't Believe Who Jenna Bush Hager Brought Out to Celebrate a Work Milestone
Jenna Bush Hager is celebrating a milestone in her career, and she brought along the cutest guest to mark the occasion!
On April 8, the Today show star celebrated five years of co-hosting Today With Hoda and Jenna, and she surprised viewers by bringing on a guest who's never appeared on daytime television. As she and Hoda Kotb sat in Studio 1A, the duo introduced Bush Hager's son Hal (she also shares daughters Mila and Poppy with her husband Henry Hager), who rushed onto the soundstage to give his mom cuddles while holding stuffed animals on the air. As Bush Hager, Kotb and Hal posed for photos, Bush Hager later shared the sweet moment with her followers on Instagram.
"Two of these things were made 5 years ago @halhager @hodaandjenna," she joked in the caption.
Given how this was Hal's first time being on camera alongside his mom, fans were obsessed with seeing him on their TV screens.
"Oh my gosh!!! I love him so much. That sweet little love squish! ❤️❤️❤️," one person exclaimed. "Hal is darling! Resembles you and your family," a different follower agreed. "The show had me emotional this morning!! 😭," a third fan wrote.
So, how did Hal fare for his first time in front of the cameras? Well, he seemingly got shy as Today With Hoda and Jenna captured him nervously hiding his face while hugging Bush Hager in a clip posted on Instagram. He also had some thoughts about his mother being on TV, which left Hoda and the Today crew laughing.
"Do you like Mommy's job?" Kotb asked Hal. "What does Mommy do for a living?"
"I don't know," he replied while smiling.
"Is this your favorite show or do you like Bluey better?"Bush Hager replied with her own question.
"I like both!" he answered.
