Taylor Lautner (and His Wife Taylor Lautner) Reveal the Surprisingly Difficult Part of Sharing the Same Name

When Taylor Lautner, 31, married Taylor “Tay” Dome, 26, in November 2022, the latter ended up changing her last name...making her name Taylor Lautner as well. And while we can imagine plenty of difficult scenarios that would stem from this, the pair talked about a surprise difficulty that snuck up on them once they were married: mail.

During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this month, the eponymous host asked the pair what they felt was the hardest part of sharing a name. “The mail,” Tay responded. (In the past, the pair have noted that Dome goes by “Tay” in order to help with the confusion of both of them having the same first name.)

Lautner added, “This holiday season is going to be tough. There's going to be some gifts ruined for sure.”

In addition to mail and gifts, the paired noted that TSA struggles with the duplicate name as well. “They're like, ‘We need Taylor’ and we're like, ‘Which one?’” Tay said. “That's us both,” her husband chimed in. “They're like, ‘No, Taylor Lautner,’ and it's like, ‘Also, both of us.’”

The two Taylors tied the knot in November 2022, having started dating back in 2018. Their nuptials took place at a winery near Paso Robles, California, where they held an intimate ceremony with close family and friends.

During a previous visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show, Lautner revealed that his wife was going to take his last name. “We’re literally going to be the same person,” he said. “Cause we already share one name, so it's gonna extra complicated...it's ridiculous.” He jokingly added, “I'm a narcissist.”

We're sure they'll figure out a system eventually.
