While Snoop Dogg (whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.) has an estimated net worth of $160 million, the rapper and recent Olympics torchbearer has a surprisingly slim real estate portfolio compared to his cohorts. Currently, the artist owns a grand residence in Diamond Bar, California—and he’s lived in it ever since he purchased it in 1998. He also owns a 20,000-square-foot building that houses his recording studios. Before that, the California native and BFF of Martha Stewart owned just one other property in the Golden State. If you’re eager to know more about Snoop's current and former pads, along with his hub for creativity, dig into the details below.

After Snoop Dogg rose to fame when he appeared on Dr. Dre’s solo debut single Deep Cover and Dre’s solo album The Chronic in 1992, he bought his first home for $660,000. Located in Claremont, California, the Mediterranean-style home spanned 3,700 square feet with five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. The property—featured on an episode of MTV Cribs—also came with a basketball court, pool, and jacuzzi. He eventually expanded the place to encompass 6,527 square feet with eight bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. It sold for $1.83 million in 2007.

Snoop Dogg’s current residence is a house he scooped up for $720,000 in 1998. Situated in Diamond Bar, California, in a gated community, the home was built in 1977. Initially, the property spanned 3,808 square feet and included four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It has many of the same luxuries as his first home, including a pool with a jacuzzi, an outdoor patio, and a basketball court. Not much else is known about the property, but Snoop reportedly gave the house a major overhaul in recent years. The project apparently resulted in him suing his contractor for $500,000 for bad work and unpaid subcontractors.

Snoop also owns a property in Inglewood, California, that he mainly uses for work and play. Known as the Compound, the 20,000-square-foot building includes a trio of recording studios that were given a spaceship-inspired makeover by Westlake Pro Design Services Group. In 2022, the rapper and his wife Shante Broadus gave W Magazine a tour of the place and all of the memorabilia in it. It also includes a dance studio and a full-size basketball court that's surrounded by digitally printed murals of admirable legends, like Kobe Bryant. There's also a game room, casino, soundstage, and some of Snoop’s classic car collection on the property, according to The Los Angeles Times. The parking lot can also double as a drive-in theater.
