Shania Twain Reunites With Fan 40 Years Later in 'Full Circle' Concert Moment

Shania Twain has been entertaining audiences for decades—and plenty of fans have stuck by her through it all.

During a recent performance at Churchill Park Music Festival in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, Twain brought a local fan named Gloria onstage who showed the country singer some unforgettable hospitality the first time Twain visited the area 40 years ago.

"This is ridiculous!" Twain—who turns 59 this month—said after the two shared a hug. "I still have a Polaroid of us together."

Twain went on to explain how much it meant to her when Gloria showed her around Newfoundland as a young performer.

"Listen, so, on these tours when you're the only girl in the band, you never meet any girls. The only girls you meet are the girls that are trying to hook up with the band," Twain said. "And so it was just very odd that I met a girlfriend, someone that I connected with, who wasn't out to jump one of the guys."

Gloria invited Twain to stay at her house and took her to the beach, where she went into the sea for the first time. "It was so friggin' cold!" Twain remembered.

Twain shared a video of the reunion on X, where she further expressed her gratitude.

"I came to Newfoundland & Labrador with my band Flirt some 40 years ago - it was my first ever tour of the East Coast and my first ever time away from home. During that tour I met Gloria, a local girl who took care of me and showed me around and last night, all these years later, we were reunited The hospitality and sentiment of Newfies is unmatched - thank you for, once again, showing me such a warm welcome!" Twain captioned her post.

Fans couldn't get over the sweet interaction, not to mention how amazing Twain looked onstage.

"So crazy that it made this full circle moment for you! That’s awesome! And so crazy that your birthday is soo soon and I will be at the show in Vegas with my neice [sic] for the day after your birthday! We are so ready to party!," wrote one commenter.

"what a full circle moment! & also the fact that you’re turning 59 in 10 days is crazy - you forgot to age," raved a second X user.

Twain is a native of Canada, though she's not from Newfoundland—she was born in Windsor and grew up in Timmins, Ontario.
