Shania Twain had a perfect response when White Lotus actor Lukas Gage apologized for “wasting” her time at his wedding last year.

Gage and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton announced last fall that they had decided to part ways after about six months of marriage. The two tied the knot last spring during a ceremony officiated by reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Twain, 58, was also there to perform for the newlyweds, who dated briefly before deciding to get married.

The Euphoria alum told Andy Cohen during a March 19 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that deciding to marry Appleton after dating for two months was “absolutely unhinged.”

“I had a manic episode for six months,” the 28-year-old actor said.

Gage, who played a hotel staff member in the first season of the hit HBO miniseries White Lotus, said he is “100 percent” a lifelong fan of the “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” artist. “I love Shania Twain,” he said simply.

At one point during the conversation on Watch What Happens Live, Gage looked directly into the camera to apologize for how Twain had spent her time celebrating his short-lived union.

“I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time,” he said. “That was like the biggest waste of her time. But I love you, Shania. I’m really sorry about that.”

He later extended his apology to The Kardashians star, as well.

“Sorry to Kim and Shania,” he said. “I’m so sorry.”

Luckily for Gage, the “That Don’t Impress Me Much” singer doesn’t appear to be holding onto any grudges about the time she spent at the ceremony. In a post on X, Twain issued her response to an Entertainment Weekly tweet that addressed Gage’s apology.

“If you’re not in it for love, I’m outta here!” she wrote, adding two emojis to indicate she was laughing and sending love Gage’s way.
