Jennifer Lopez has worn some jaw-dropping engagement rings over the years.

The Hustlers star has been engaged six times, with four of those proposals ending in marriage. Early in her career, Lopez was married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and backup dancer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. After breaking off her engagement with actor Ben Affleck in 2004, the singer went on to marry singer-songwriter Marc Anthony. He popped the question with an 8.5-carat blue diamond and the pair were married for 10 years.

In a tour video diary from June 2019, the singer opened up about her previous marriages and shared that she doesn’t “really count” her first two trips down the aisle.

“I’ve been married three times: once was nine months and once was 11 months. So I don’t really count those,” Lopez said. “I was married to Marc for 10 years with the kids. I was very young the first two times I tried to get married.”

She added, “It seems like in this life you’re always surrounded by people so you’re never lonely but it’s very lonely ... So I felt like if I got married then I would always have somebody but that’s not how life works. That’s not how it goes, a bad reason to get married.”

In 2022, Lopez got engaged to Affleck for a second time when he proposed with a rare green diamond engagement ring. The pair tied the knot in a small Las Vegas ceremony later that year before exchanging vows in a larger Georgia wedding. However, after months of marital strain, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20 — exactly two years after the second ceremony.

Lopez and backup dancer Judd first met on the set of her 2000 music video for “Love Don’t Cost A Thing.” He proposed to the singer with an emerald-cut diamond set on a yellow-gold pavé band.

On Sept. 29, 2001, the couple tied the knot at a private residence in Calabasas, Calif. Lopez filed for divorce a year later in July 2002, and the dissolution of their marriage was finalized in January 2003.

After meeting on the set of Gigli, Affleck proposed to Lopez for the first time with a 6-carat radiant-cut pink diamond ring from Harry Winston. The custom ring featured two white accent diamonds and was estimated to be worth $2.5 million. Lopez later revealed that Affleck also had the word “sing” engraved on her ring.

In a November 2002 interview, Lopez told Diane Sawyer that Affleck’s proposal was “traditional, but also in a very spectacular way, as of course Ben would do it ... it was very, very beautiful.”

The pair were meant to wed in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Sept. 14, 2003, but called off the ceremony four days before the wedding because of media attention. However, they didn’t officially call it quits until January 2004. Harry Winston reacquired Lopez’s pink engagement ring in February 2005, and the sparkler was put on sale.

Shortly after calling off her engagement to Affleck, Lopez reconnected with her ex-boyfriend Anthony, and they dated for six months before tying the knot. The couple wed in June 2004 in a private ceremony at Lopez's home in Beverly Hills.

The Marry Me star’s engagement ring from Harry Winston featured an 8.5-carat radiant-cut blue diamond as its center stone and baguette-cut accent diamonds.

Lopez later told PEOPLE about their wedding, "When you find that person who doesn't run when things get hard — I think that's where Marc proved to me that he was more of a man than anything I had experienced."

Lopez and Anthony welcomed twins, Max and Emme, in 2008 and were married for 10 years before finalizing their divorce in June 2014.

In March 2019, former MLB star Alex Rodriguez proposed to Lopez in the Bahamas with a 16-carat emerald-cut diamond ring that was estimated to be worth over $1 million. A source told PEOPLE at the time that Rodriguez “did everything on his own with the ring,” and the proposal was a “complete surprise” for Lopez.

“There aren’t many words to share with you, only feelings. Gratitude. Excitement. And just … joy,” Rodriguez wrote about the beachside proposal on Instagram. “We know there is work to do to keep building a family and future we can be proud of, and we can’t do it without all of you.”

The couple were meant to tie the knot in Italy in June 2020 but were forced to postpone due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They postponed the wedding a second time before officially ending their engagement in April 2021.

17 years after calling off their engagement, Lopez reconnected with Affleck in April 2021. A year later, the Gone Girl star popped the question to Lopez for the second time with a ring estimated to be worth over $5 million. It featured an 8.5-carat radiant-cut green diamond flanked by two half-moon accent diamonds and set on a platinum band.

A diamond expert told PEOPLE at the time that natural green diamonds are “extremely rare” and the value of the gem will “significantly increase over time.”

"It was nothing fancy at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could've ever imagined...just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other,” Lopez shared about the proposal in her newsletter. “Green has always been my lucky color and now, for sure, it always will be.”

Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022 before hosting a larger wedding in Georgia the following month. After their nuptials, Lopez revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music that Affleck engraved her ring with a special message: “not.going.anywhere."

“That's how he would sign his emails when we started talking again. Like 'Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere,' " she said.

After reports of tension in Lopez and Affleck's marriage surfaced in May 2024, Lopez officially filed for divorce on Aug. 20.

"She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken," a source told PEOPLE of the actress. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”
