My bedtime routine isn't always smooth sailing. I have tried everything I can to remedy my night-owl tendencies from aromatherapy machines to white noise alarms. While I am frustrated with my sleep schedule, I honestly figured that waking up on a customized pillow was enough. When I had the opportunity to test out Purple's Hybrid Premier 3 mattress, I followed my usual process—test first. Of course, a product that became an Internet obsession warranted a double look. Instead of lugging the mattress up my stairs, I started small I received a small sample of the brand's famous elastic-polymer smart comfort grid and it felt like squeezing a cloud.
Soon enough, it was my go-to stress reliever at my desk! I decided to sample the mattress and appreciated the clever packaging. The queen-sized mattress was rolled up and tucked into a bag with handles—so of course, I waited over a week to open it. Finally deciding to take the chance after another horrible night of sleep, I set up the mattress and felt like I was on cloud nine. It was a luxurious experience that I never wanted to wake up from!

After testing, even as a skeptic, it was pretty clear why this best-seller is a hit for Purple. It relieves tension in pressure points and doesn't cling to your body like other memory foam beds. But we know everyone sleeps different! With a medium-firm feel, this bed is an acquired taste for some. Thankfully, Purple allows curious shoppers to not only sample a small grid, but also test out the mattress for a 100-day trial.
This mattress was powerful enough to make me a believer in more than 5 hours of sleep and look forward to getting home! The bed does everything my mattress couldn't, which was a huge sign that I was in need of a new mattress! It is on the pricey side for mattresses, but Purple has several financing options if the $2,999 ticket isn't a commitment you can make at the moment (it's currently $2,699 thanks to Memorial Day). I'm blissfully in the beginning stages of living as a well-rested early bird, and grateful this dreamlike bed is a reality.
