Passengers Boarding a Plane Are Tickled to See Welsh Corgi Is Their Captian

Picture this: you're about to board a 12-hour flight. You're tired, hungry, and your Kindle only has 20 percent battery. It seems like it's going to be a long flight. But then you walk onboard and see a Welsh Corgi named Winston. That would totally change everything, right?

Amazingly, this is sort of what happened to a group of people boarding their plane recently. And to make things even cuter, Winston greeted his fellow passengers while wearing a very special outfit.

Dogs make everything better. So why wouldn't that be true of air travel? As a service animal, Winston was allowed to be in the cabin of the plane. So naturally the Welsh Corgi was going to greet his fellow passengers in style.

The clip shared on Winston's social media page shows people seeing the Corgi for the first time. Winston was wearing a pilot's uniform. People had the best reaction to this outfit – he was a hit!

"What would you do if you saw this on your flight?" the video's text overlay reads. Even the flight staff wanted a photo with Winston in his "uniform."

"Is that not the cutest captain you've ever seen?" the caption reads.

Yes, yes it was. And we know we aren't the only ones who would do anything to hit the open skies with Winston. "I would pay full price and fly anywhere with a Corgi captain," one commenter wrote. "Me: 'what’s taking this line so long?!' Also Me; 'oh ok. Acceptable,'" someone else joked. "I would trust this captain 1000 percent and would give him a cuddle," chimed in someone else. "They'd literally have to drag me to a seat. I would be with him for the whole flight," admitted someone else.

Flying With a Dog

Different airlines have different rules for flying with an animal. Some dogs will have to be placed in cargo, but if your dog is allowed to travel in the cabin there are things you can do to make your trip go smoothly.

Again, you'll want to first check your airline's rules on animal travel. Some ask that dog owners put their pups in their carrier and under their seat for the entire flight. While others may allow service dogs like Winston to be free as long as they stay in your lap.

If your dog does need to be in a carrier, make sure you have plenty of supplies. Pee pads, treats, doggy bags, and a quiet toy or two can be very handy. You'll also want to make sure to take your dog on a long walk before a flight to get their energy out and to go to the bathroom. Bringing a stuffy or favorite blanket can also be helpful, as that can calm a stressed dog's nerves.

Flying with a dog can be tricky no matter who you are. But being prepared can totally make things easy peasy.
