This month, Ouai debuted its latest launch just in time for winter-ravaged locks: An Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. According to a release from the brand, Ouai’s gentle formula contains 2% salicylic acid, which helps “provide relief from the symptoms of dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis.” This effective ingredient also “helps eliminate the recurrence of itching, irritation, redness and flaking.”
While this formula targets dandruff, it also includes other surfactants and conditioning agents to ensure that your hair remains soft and smooth.
For best results, Ouai recommends wetting your hair, applying the shampoo to your scalp, working it into a lather and letting it sit for five minutes before rinsing thoroughly twice a week.
And the results from Ouai’s clinical studies are no joke. 100% of the participants agreed they saw fewer flakes on their scalp and in their hair. They noted that their scalp felt healthier, less itchy and irritated.
Also worth noting, this shampoo actually smells incredible. It features the brand’s Cape Town scent, which has notes of ginger, basil and spearmint, so it will leave your hair smelling fresh instead of clinical.
