The One Fast-Food Item Reba McEntire Calls 'Absolutely Wonderful'

First appearing in her own hit television show Reba, and now most recently opening her own restaurant in Atoka, Oklahoma and appearing as the new judge on The Voice, Reba truly is a woman of many talents.

Of course, when a celebrity takes after your own heart, it’s extra exciting when you find out that they also enjoy the same foods as you. While appearing on a recent episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote her new book Not That Fancy — which features stories and recipes from her life — McEntire was questioned by Meyers about her tater tot recipe.

“You get in your car, and you put it in reverse,” McEntire begins with a questionable first step. “Get out of the garage and drive down the road, and you find your nearest Sonic,” the country singer continued. “Pull in the entrance, not the exit. You pull in one of them little slots and you push that red button and you say, ‘Can I have me some tater tots?’ And hope they don’t say, ‘We’re out.’”

McEntires love for Sonic Drive-In should come as no surprise; the popular fast-food chain was actually founded in her home state of Oklahoma. And as for why tater tots are at the top of her food cravings list? Well, who wouldn’t want to devour a huge helping of the hot and crispy potato snack?

“We love Sonic tater tots, they’re absolutely wonderful,” McEntire admitted in a TikTok video she shared with Garth Brooks, in which they discussed the stars' ideal date. “To go in there and get a Number 1 Cheeseburger with everything on it and tater tots, man, that’s a great Valentine’s dinner,” she exclaimed.

Even when she’s not enjoying her favorite snack from the comfort of her home, McEntire has no issues taking her tater tot cravings on the road. On The Voice, there is a long standing tradition where the coaches give their singers a gift when they join the team. Of course, we can all guess exactly what McEntire had in mind, opting not to give out custom team-branded clothing, but instead blessing her team with baskets of tater tots.
