Many professional chefs and restaurants prefer stainless steel cookware because of its longevity. Even for at-home chefs, nonstick pans are a favorite because they require less oil and are easier to clean. However, after time, the pans lose their nonstick coating, especially if you heat them over a certain temperature or use them frequently.

So, what if you could combine the two types of pans? Well, HexClad, the hybrid cookware brand, does. And they’re the pans that professional chef Gordon Ramsay uses at home.

You may have seen HexClad mentioned on Gordon Ramsay’s show Next Level Chef on FOX. After using and liking them, he actually became a partner of the brand’s.

“HexClad’s intriguing look and design and its hybrid technology caught my eye about a year ago,” Gordon Ramsay says on HexClad’s website. “I use the pans at home, and the combination of stainless steel and nonstick functionality is amazing. It’s highly versatile and cooks exceptionally well. I’m excited to partner with the HexClad team as we expand the line of beautiful, high-quality products”.

But let’s back up — yes, these pans are both stainless steel and nonstick. They’re the best of both worlds!

HexClad pans have a patented laser-etched hexagon design on the cookware, but it’s not just for looks. According to its website, the design “creates a series of peaks and valleys.” The peaks are stainless steel to give your food a nice, brown sear, and the valleys are the nonstick part. Additionally, HexClad pans are tri-ply, meaning they have three layers. The first layer is magnetic stainless steel, the second is aluminum and the last layer is steel again. According to the brand, the magnetic stainless steel makes it safe to use on gas, electric and magnetic induction cooktops. The aluminum layer helps conduct heat to cook food evenly.

“A well-seasoned HexClad pan will provide the cooking experience of stainless steel, nonstick and cast iron in a single pan,” the brand says.

More so, HexClad pans are dishwasher safe, oven safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and metal utensil safe. They have stay-cool handles and are backed by a lifetime warranty. In other words, these pans are incredibly strong. It’s easy to see why Ramsay, one of the toughest chefs on TV, is a fan.

You can purchase HexClad cookware for yourself on the brand’s site and on Amazon. Prices start around $100 for an 8-inch pan, but it lives up to the price. They come with a lifetime warranty, so you may never have to buy another pan again.
