This June — less than two weeks before the 30th anniversary of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman — Lifetime is premiering a two-part documentary about her life and tragic death, which will feature stories from those who were closest to the mother of two, new details and archival footage.

"It was important that people get to know my sister, our sister," one of Simpson's sisters says in the exclusive trailer for The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, which premieres on Lifetime on June 1 and 2. (The exclusive trailer is below.)

Nicole, 35, was murdered alongside her friend, 25-year-old Goldman, on June 12, 1994 in front of her Los Angeles home.

O.J. Simpson — a former Hall of Fame football player and Nicole's ex-husband — was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing deaths of Nicole and Goldman. However, he was famously acquitted after a lengthy trial — dubbed the "Trial of the Century" — on Oct. 3, 1995.

Simpson died at the age of 76 on April 10, 2024 from prostate cancer.

Although Simpson was acquitted, the murder case plagued him for the rest of his life and many people — including the families of Goldman and Nicole — believed he was the one responsible for their untimely deaths.

In the trailer, Nicole's sister, Denise Brown, says, "The one thing I could not protect her from was the monster she was married to."

“What happened to our sister Nicole should never have happened to her or to any other woman,” the Brown sisters say in a press release about the documentary. “Her life was stolen from her and while her abuser is finally gone, it doesn’t take away the anguish we feel or the pain of her children who lost their mother. We hope that by sharing Nicole’s story, it will help others recognize the signs and get the help they need and her legacy will continue to live on.”

The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson premieres on Lifetime on June 1 and 2.
