Is that the sun coming out to say hello, or is it just Mariah Carey’s radiant glow? If you were one of the 13.4 million Instagram followers to be graced by the singer’s post last night, you’ll know it’s the latter.
The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” hitmaker was the embodiment of a beautiful spring day in a gleaming ensemble she shared via two photos to the social media platform. In the snaps, Carey lounges on a yacht in a billowing long-sleeve, floor-length gown with draping fabric that flowed like water, all in a silky golden-yellow hue. Carey shone like her dress in gorgeous, bronzy makeup, complete with a shimmery smoky eye, long fluttery eyelashes, bright highlighter, and a strawberry pink lip, and wore her shiny bronde locks in a half up, half down ‘do. The five-time Grammy award winner simply captioned the post, “❤️.”
Carey took to Instagram again a few days prior to share another dazzling ensemble, which she wore to commemorate her 55th birthday. In one post, she smiles wide while sitting on her yacht in the middle of the deep-blue ocean, which she captioned, “3.27 at dusk 🌒❤️.” In another, this time a video, she dances and sings along to “Feels Good” by Tony! Toni! Toné!, giving the camera a cheers with a champagne glass. She captioned this post, “#feelsgood 🦋🩷.”
For the big day, Carey stunned in a silver minidress that featured razor thin spaghetti straps and sparkling sequins all over, paired with matching silver glitter heeled mules. She accented her celebratory ‘fit with a diamond bracelet on each wrist, wore pretty, rosy makeup, and styled her hair in soft, voluminous curls.
