I'm a shopping editor and the Krups Belgian waffle maker is my fave new breakfast gadget

I like pancakes. I do. I like their soft and fluffy texture and how delish they are with butter and maple syrup. But if I'm being honest, I much prefer waffles. They're a combination of fluffy and crispy! Plus, they have those wonderful pockets that can hold a lot more butter and syrup than their flat counterparts. Fortunately, there are a number of excellent waffle makers on the market, but my absolute favorite is the Krups Belgian Waffle Maker. I bought it in 2017 and it's still going strong!

There's so much to love about this appliance. First of all, it's big enough to make four square-shaped waffles in one go! I can easily use up an entire batch of batter in just two rounds. That makes it perfect for a large gathering, whether you're feeding your family or having friends over for brunch.

Plus, the results are delicious! My go-to recipe is this one for Overnight Brown-Butter Yeast-Raised Waffles, as it uses brown butter (yum!) and the batter wakes up in the morning ready to go. That's where your Braun comes in. All you have to do is plug it in and wait for it to get to temperature. The green indicator light will activate and there'll be an alert sound to tell you it's batter-ready.

Then, pour in the appropriate amount of batter (I suggest about 1/4 cup of batter per square) and adjust to your desired browning level — there are five different levels, from light to dark. Give it just a few minutes, and the machine will beep again to let you know it's done!

My favorite feature of this waffle maker, however, is that it has removable, dishwasher-safe plates. Plus, they have a nonstick coating, which is why I don't bother greasing or spraying with oil as the waffles come off pretty easily without it. That makes it incredibly easy to clean.

Another thing I love about the Krups Belgian Waffle Maker is that it's so easy to stow away — just wrap up the cord on the back, and you can stand it upright in your kitchen cabinet, which frees up valuable counter space.

If you're a breakfast or brunch lover — or maybe you're an anytime waffle fan, then you'll be wanting to snatch up one of these babies.
