Krispy Kreme's Dr Pepper Doughnut Is the Treat You Didn't Know You Needed
Given how much the Drummonds love Dr Pepper, there are certainly a fair share of recipes that are made using the sweet and spicy soda. Although everyone loves a good Dr Pepper float or Dr Pepper shredded pork sandwich, others might still on the fence about those Dr Pepper Peeps. Thankfully, though, there's a new Dr Pepper collaboration that could be the most enticing yet.
Krispy Kreme is releasing a new Dr Pepper doughnut just in time for football season.
The Dr Pepper Kickoff Doughnut is an Original Glazed Doughnut that's piped with Dr Pepper flavored frosting and features a Burgundy Sprinkle Blend. For added flair, the doughnut is then topped with a white chocolate Dr Pepper logo.
"Two of America's most loved flavors are about to become one amazing game day sensation to make this the sweetest kickoff to football season ever. This Dr Pepper collection is a must-add to your game day lineup, whoever you're cheering for," said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, in a statement.
Doughnut lovers are in luck because the Dr Pepper-inspired doughnut isn't the only new item featured in the Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection.
The coffee and doughnut shop will also be releasing a Buttercreme Goals Doughnut. A perfect snack for halftime, the sweet addition to the menu is an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in green icing, topped with colorful sprinkles and a yellow buttercreme flavored goal post.
The two new doughnuts, along with the Kreme Filled Football Doughnut, will be available starting August 23 for a limited time.
