Oh, to be a teen in love! If you’re looking for the perfect cozy show to curl up with this winter, Netflix just delivered an holiday treat early. My Life With The Walter Boys is a sweet, new, coming-of-age TV show, based on a book of the same title, that follows the life of Jackie Howard, a 15-year-old orphan who moves from New York City to Colorado.
When she arrives in Colorado, Jackie ends up moving in with the Walter family. (Her mother’s best friend was Katherine Walter, and though Jackie does not know her, Katherine has taken her in.) To make matters more interesting, viewers learn that the couple has 10 (!) sons which is a recipe for chaos, crushes, and cute made-for-TV moments. If you liked The Summer I Turned Pretty, be sure to tune in, because the drama and love triangles heat up fast.
Jackie finds herself falling for two of her (adopted) brothers: Cole, who is your quintessential high school football star, and Alex is a bit on the shyer side.

It's a tale as old as time. Two boys (who happen to be brothers) have a crush on the same girl. In this case, it's their new roomie/adopted sister, Jackie. As mentioned, Cole is a former high school footballer who is quite popular around town, while Alex is a bit more sweet and shy.

At the end of the book, Jackie leaves Colorado to head to New York with Danny Walter... but just as friends! Cole and Jackie have a big conversation that leads her to admit that she has feelings for him, but she ultimately leaves to head back to New York with a kiss and no real plans for a future meet-up.
However, this ending does leave space for Cole and Jackie to rekindle their romance in a possible sequel!

Everyone knows that TV shows and movies created from books don't always follow the exact same plot line, so it's only natural to wonder if this is the case for My Life With The Walter Boys. Well, spoiler alert: It pretty much follows the exact same ending from the book.
Cole and Jackie *still* share that romantic smooch before she leaves for New York City, and *still* don’t define their relationship. But it does seem like they're planning to stay in touch.
Will there be a second season?
So far that is still "to be determined." Author Ali Novak said she hadn’t planned on writing a sequel, but noted that could change if the book became a show.
