The news that Harries have been waiting for since Harry Styles' second album Fine Line was released back in December of 2019 finally arrived on May 20 — the pop prince graced us with new music. His third album, Harry's House, came out this past Spring.

Of course, his most loyal fans weren't totally surprised. Since it was announced that he'd be a headliner at Coachella 2022, rumors swirled that he'd have fresh tracks to promote.

Here's everything you should know about Harry Styles' third studio album, Harry's House, as well as music video and tour news.

Harry has been seen filming a new music video

It looks like "As It Was" is not the only song off of Harry's House to be turned into a music video! On July 11, Harry Styles posted a teaser of a new music video featuring the second song off of Harry's House, “Late Night Talking.” The sneak peek of the video due out on July 13 shows Styles smiling and laying across an unmade bed, wiggling his blue-socked feet in the air all while whistling the song’s melody. Watch the snippet below:

Back on May 11, Daily Mail reported that Styles was seen flying high at the Santus Circus in the U.K. decked out in canary yellow feathers and a bedazzled unitard. Other photographs revealed filming equipment as well as Harry walking on a tightrope in a black and white circus performer suit. And while we are not entirely sure if the two occurrences are related, Harry was seen by a TikTok user in February shooting on a large bed in front of Buckingham Palace.

Harry shared the album's tracklist on Twitter first

Harry took to Twitter on Thursday, April 28, with a photo of his upcoming tracklist. In a shocking twist of events, Harry's House was broken up into two sides (A and B) with seven tracks on the first half of the project and six on the second.

We're hoping that we get to see all of these performed once Harry hits the road for the extension of his Love On Tour.

The lead single, "As It Was," dropped in April

While we patiently waited for the album's full tracklist, Harry tided us over by sharing the name of the lead single off of Harry's House on March 28.

He took to Insta to drop the good news. In the images, Harry's back is displayed, showing off his tattoos and a red sequined number created by Spanish fashion designer, Arturo Obegero. The three-pic post is simply captioned "As It Was. April 1."

On March 30, Harry also blessed us with a dizzying teaser. Giving absolute microwave vibes, the singer is perched on a rotating platform, showing off his fire jumpsuit that first appeared in the Instagram teaser photo set. The video fades out with a reminder of the song title "As It Was" and the release date "April 1". As if we could forget, Harold!

Harry also told Hits Radio that "As It Was" was the last song he wrote for the record. "You know, as it was being written, it was a lot slower," the Pleasing mogul said before revealing it started out as more of a piano ballad before adding the upbeat synths.

In addition to "As It Was," fans started to see posters popping up in cities across the world that picture Harry sitting atop a large ball, wearing a striped set. The posters also say "It's not the same as it was."

The "As It Was" song and music video officially dropped on March 31, quickly climbing the global charts to rest in the top spot for five weeks according to Billboard.

Working with a synth-heavy pop tune, "As It Was" is reminiscent of iconic '80s hits, also giving a nod to indie music from bands like Wallows, Dayglow, and COIN. As for the lyrics and video, Styles said in a BBC Radio One interview on April 1 that the song was “written in the countryside in England” and is about “embracing change, losing oneself, finding oneself, a shift in perspective.”

Considering Harry has gone through a lot of changes in regards to his brand, music, style, and identity in the past couple of years, the meaning of the song seems to hit a little closer to home for him.

The themes of change and self-exploration are pretty apparent in the music video, as many scenes picture Styles alone, seemingly contemplating his past or optimistically living in the present. By the end of the clip, Harry is pictured joyfully dancing and singing, as if to evoke a sense that a change has occurred within the singer, signaling that he has found self-acceptance and self-love.

And there's a bit of a fan theory that these themes were also expressed in a more literal way through the symbolism of butterflies. The bug that makes the transformation from small caterpillars into beautifully colored winged creatures was spotted in several scenes where Harry's chest was exposed, showing off his large butterfly tattoo.

A fan on TikTok theorized that the metal rods placed over Styles and his costar, the woman in blue, appear to be the same types of rods used to pin down butterflies when they are under observation. Further proof of their theory? In another clip from the video, a woman is seen closely observing Styles’s face, almost as in the manner one would inspect an insect.

Could this butterfly imagery be intentionally hinting at Harry's transition from boyband pop sensation to successfully solo musician?

Luckily for us, we weren't just left to survive off of this music video until the album actually arrived. Harry dropped a behind-the-scenes look at the filming process for the"As It Was" music video, and it is everything we ever needed.

Showing off a bit of the rehearsal process (he totally had to practice with the spinning platform tons of times!), we got to see Harry playing around with members of the set including the most adorable (and luckiest) baby ever. Watch the full clip below.

Harry performed new songs from Harry's House ahead of its release

As one of the headliners for the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Harry kicked off the show with "As It Was" and performed his other hits like "What Makes You Beautiful," "Treat People With Kindness," and "Woman." Aside from bringing out surprise guest Shania Twain to perform two of her hits as duets, Harry also debuted two new songs from Harry's House: "Boyfriends" and "Late Night Talking." Naturally, fans took to social media to post clips of the special moments.

Continuing the trend of teasing tracks into the second weekend of Coachella, Harry performed "Late Night Talking" and "Boyfriends" again, alongside his bringing Lizzo onstage as a surprise guest.

Harry also stopped by The Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on May 19, where he answered some questions about his upcoming album and performed another new song, "Daylight." He got candid about Harry's House and noted that it's his "most personal album" yet.

"It was definitely the most intimately made thing I've done so far," Harry explained to host Carson Daly. "It's the most free I've felt making music. It's the most proud of anything [I've been]." After performing a few songs, a fan asked him which track was the hardest for him to write during the album's creation. "I'd say 'Boyfriends,' probably," Harry revealed. "There were lots of different versions of it that we were trying to work out what the best version for the album was [with] different guitars and vocal arrangements."

Harry dropped Easter eggs ahead of the album's release

It looks like the One Direction alum may have taken a page out of his ex, Taylor Swift's book when it comes to Easter eggs. Harry sat down for an interview with Hits Radio's Jordan Lee to chat about all things "As It Was" on April 1. Naturally, the host asked Harry whether he'd been dropping serious Easter eggs ahead of the release of his album, Harry's House. The question came after fans on TikTok pointed out several times where the singer referred to houses and homes during the North American leg of Love on Tour. "I think sometimes, maybe, people go back and find coincidences that feel like I was dropping hints," Harry said. "Maybe I was, and maybe I wasn't, and I think some of them make me look a little madder [than I am]."

He then went on to explain the meaning and inspiration behind the album. "Calling the album Harry's House...was an idea that I had for a while and I think when I originally had it, it was about a specific house and a kind of geographical thing," he said. "I think during the process of the album, that became much more of an internal journey of finding home and peace with oneself... it kind of went through a lot of different meanings, and I think that all of the meanings it went through are kind of what makes it what it ended up as."

Harry’s House was released at the end of May

Harry shared a short teaser for Harry's House, set to the tune of instrumental music (maybe a snippet of one of the album's songs?). In the clip, we saw Harry walking onto an empty stage as the front of a house rises behind him. The video finishes with the caption, "Harry's House, the new album by Harry Styles, May 20."

Taking to Twitter, Harry also released the album's cover art. He captioned the pic of a seemingly upside-down living room, where he is standing on the ceiling, "Harry’s House. May 20th."

The possibility of a new album was teased back in April with the appearance of a curious website, YouAreHome.co. It featured a door that opens to different images when you roll your mouse over the graphic. As the album release got closer, when you hovered over the door, a cropped version of the album art appears. Accounts for “You Are Home” also popped up on Twitter and Instagram in March, with an image of the website's door picture posted daily.

Harries predicted this wayyy before the site launch though. Check out these fan theories:
