Greyhound ‘Only Child’ Hangs His Head in Sadness Over Mom Dog Sitting Another Pup

It's no secret that dogs are usually pretty upbeat creatures. But every once in a while you can accidentally hit their sore spots. Like one Greyhound online who was so salty that his mama gave another dog some attention while she was pet sitting. And the pup's sour face was cracking people up online.

That's the problem with not raising your dog with fur-siblings, they are not used to sharing attention.

The Greyhound was acting just a wee bit dramatic when his mama @grumpyspicee volunteered to watch another dog for the day. He wouldn't even make eye contact when the other dog dared to get some pets from his mama. He just angrily stared at the couch and ignored the pup who was "intruding" in his home.

"POV your dog's an only child and you're dog sitting," the video's caption jokes. Something tells us that the rest of the babysitting session didn't get any better. In fact, the dog owner shared a second video of her dog really going through it later.

The dog refused to look at the new dog and instead stared at the wall during their nap.

"This is after his visitor stole his bed," she wrote in the caption.

People in the comments section were cracking up. "The look of absolute disgust HAHA," joked one person. "You will have to get him a present to make up for your cruelty," someone else added. "It's him doing it in front of you to show you how devastated he is," another person joked.

And apparently this is a somewhat common experience. "Hahahaha how did you get this footage of my dog?" one person asked.

Greyhound Personalities

Greyhounds aren't necessarily aggressive dogs, but that doesn't mean they don't have their pouty moments. These dogs tend to be gentle and have a quiet disposition anyway. And when they're annoyed — whether that be because of an unruly child, their owner, or, say, another dog — they're more likely to walk away to let it be known that they aren't pleased.

Greyhounds were originally bred to hunt in groups, hence why most of the aggression was bred out of them. But they do have a strong prey drive, making them not ideal pets for homes with small animals like rabbits or mice.

For the most part, Greyhounds love to sleep all day and live for their owners. Just don't ask them to cooperate with other dogs, we guess. That might be pushing your Greyhound a step too far.
