This Greenworks can produce, as the name says, 1,600 pounds per square inch of power at 1.2 gallons per minute to tackle the crustiest, dirtiest surfaces on your property. A pressure washer is also an excellent tool for cleaning the exterior of your car; they’re popular among professional detailers for how they can blast away road gunk, bird droppings, and tree sap. And they can do so more efficiently than a garden hose, saving you time, money, and water.

The pressure washer comes with two nozzles (25 and 40 degrees) and a soap applicator that allows you to attach a detergent bottle. It also features a 35-foot power cord and a 20-foot pressure hose, giving you plenty of freedom to get around obstacles on your property. And since this electric model requires hardly any maintenance, it’s easier to take care of in the long run.

A sturdy handle and sub-20-pound weight means it isn’t too difficult to lug around. Dedicated mounts for the nozzles and a holster for the wand allow you to keep everything together.

While a pressure washer is great for tackling surfaces, our Senior Home Editor, Roy Berendsohn, warns that these machines “demand careful and deliberate handling, both for your sake and that of whatever you’re cleaning.” He says to watch your distance when using a pressure washer and keep moving to avoid damaging delicate surfaces.

Though we haven’t tested this model from Greenworks, the company’s products regularly rank among our favorite outdoor power tools, like leaf blowers. With this currently at 50 percent off, you’re getting a great deal from a company that can make a reliable product.
