A Giant Penis Was Mowed Into the Grass at the Site of a Coronation Party

A neighborhood known for its "perfect lawns" that was due to host a lavish party to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III this weekend has been vandalized in a rather distinct way.

Residents of Royal Crescent in Bath, England awoke on Thursday, May 4 to find that an enormous penis and balls had been mown into the grass on the otherwise immaculately maintained lawn that is, unfortunately, visible from pretty much every house on the street—just in time for the royal festivities.

The local community has been planning a Georgian-themed event to coincide with Charles' ascent to the throne, and is expected to go ahead as planned, despite the addition of a new set of crown jewels to the location.

Charles was officially sworn in as King of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth today in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London. His sons, Prince William and Harry, Duke of Sussex were both in attendance, and Charles was accompanied by his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, who now bears the title of Queen Consort and will be known as Queen Camilla.

The coronation has been turned into a nationwide holiday in the UK, with an opulent "coronation concert" to be held on the grounds of Windsor House on Sunday May 7, headlined by Lionel Richie and Katy Perry, with performances by Paloma Faith, Steve Winwood, Nicole Sherzinger, Andrea Bocelli and Take That, in addition to special pre-filmed appearances by A-List stars like Tom Cruise and Dame Joan Collins.
