At Least 4 Killed, 30 Injured in School Shooting in Georgia, Suspect in Custody: Report
The shooting took place at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga.
At least four people are dead and 30 are injured after a shooting at a Georgia high school, according to a report from CNN, which cites law enforcement sources.
The Barrow County Sheriff's Office said the shooting was reported at 10:23 a.m. at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga., per 11 Alive, Atlanta News First and ABC News.
The sheriff's office said there were "casualties," but did not provide further information.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is assisting the investigation, confirmed that a suspect was in custody.

CNN reported that the suspect was of student age, but said it was not clear if the person was a student at the school.
The school was reportedly put on lockdown in the aftermath of the shooting.
Atlanta News First reported that dozens of ambulances could be seen outside the school, with a medic helicopter overhead.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said he has directed all available state resources to the school.

CNN also reported that President Joe Biden had been briefed on the shooting. According to a reported White House statement, his “administration will continue coordinating with federal, state, and local officials as we receive more information.”
Winder is about 50 miles outside Atlanta.
