While we all love to moan about aging, there's a clear perk to getting older: senior discounts. They can be hard to find, but many of your favorite restaurants, stores and services offer them, if you pay close attention. (Or if you stick with us!)
What kind of discounts are we talking? While promotions vary — an AARP membership gets you loads of perks, some of which we highlight below — you could be saving on train tickets, hotel rooms and meals. Select restaurant chains even feature special menus for seniors with discounted items. (IHOP and Denny's diehards, this is your moment.)

Marriott
Anyone 62 and older is eligible to save at least 10% on a Marriott hotel stay. Make sure to book your room under the name of the senior guest — most hotels will confirm your age via ID during check-in!
IHOP
Hey, pancake lovers: IHOP offers a 55+ Menu, with discounted prices for customers who are — you guessed it — 55 years or older. (Some items, like the pancake and egg combo, are nearly 20% off!)
DoorDash

Walgreens
The first Tuesday of every month is Senior Day at Walgreens. Customers 55 and up who are enrolled in the MyWalgreens rewards program can get up to 20% off their purchase, which includes everything from toiletries to snacks. Kohl's
Shoppers 60 and up can stop by any Kohl's location on Wednesdays to get 15% off select brands.
T-Mobile
Customers ages 55+ can sign up for one of T-Mobile's discounted senior plans, which gives users two unlimited lines starting at $60 a month. Some of the plans also include perks like subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Netflix, as well as a complimentary AAA membership.
Amtrak
All aboard! Amtrak offers a 10% off discount on most rail fares for passengers 65 and older. Take this as your sign to book your next train trip!
Hertz
Once you arrive at your destination, save money on your car rental. Drivers over 50 can score up to 20% off base rates when renting a car through Hertz.
LensCrafters
AARP offers members steep discounts on glasses, including up to 50% off lenses, 30% off sunglasses and 10% off contact lenses. Members can also get their eyes checked for a $55 co-pay at participating locations.
Denny's

U.S. citizens 62 and older can purchase a Senior Annual Pass for $20 (or opt for a Senior Lifetime Pass for $80) that offers access to thousands of national parks and federal recreation sites, as well as discounts of up to 50% off select amenity fees. Michaels
Get your craft on at Michaels, where anyone over 55 can receive 10% off their purchase every day. Bonus: The discount includes sale items. Make sure to register to get your discount, which can be used in store and online.
Krispy Kreme
Get 10% off a hot and delicious donut from Krispy Kreme at locations across the country. While you're there, treat yourself to a coffee or frozen hot chocolate, too, because why not?

There's no shortage of hidden gems to be discovered at Goodwill. And although there's not a standardized discount, AARP reported that most Goodwill stores offer some type of weekly senior discount, typically between 15% and 25% off.
