What won't Flavor Flav do?

On Wednesday, Aug. 14, the rapper, 65, boosted Paralympian Nick Mayhugh's GoFundMe to help his parents join him in Paris for the sports event.

“THIS is just one of the many @gofundme for the @Olympics and @Paralympics that I support,” Flav posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) about the games that will take place between August 28-Sept. 8. “Imagine spending 18 years taking ya kid to every practice and game and working 2-3 jobs to buy equipment,,, and then not being able to watch them play the biggest game of they life.”

The "Fight the Power" musician posted in response to Mayhugh's original tweet that read, "HELP SEND MY PARENTS TO PARIS! I created a @gofundme to help pay for expenses to send my parents to the #Paralympics! They’ve never been out of the country, & couldn’t watch me compete in Tokyo due to COVID. Any & all donations are appreciated!"

It appears that Flav donated $100 under his real name (William Drayton, Jr.). The fundraiser has raised over $11,000 since it launched on July 25.

Mayhugh, 28, is a three-time gold medalist Paralympian who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 14. The athlete helped the U.S. Men’s National Para Soccer team score its first bronze medal at the 2019 Para Pan American Games. Mayhugh then won three gold medals in the 100M T37, 200m T37 and the 4X100m medley at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

“I am humbly asking for any and everyone’s help to get my parents over to Paris to watch me compete for Team USA and bringing home more gold medals!” he wrote in the caption of his GoFundMe.

Flav was a prominent force at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

During his time in the Parisian city, he showed off his piano playing skills, shared a sweet moment with Dr. Jill Biden and sponsored the U.S. women's water polo team.

The "Don't Believe the Hype" performer previously spoke to PEOPLE about why he decided to sponsor the team — a reason that stemmed from learning that many of the team members work multiple jobs in order to get to the Olympics.

"There's a lot of women, I'm saying that all they want is just a chance," Flav said. "And all they want to do is feel like they got a chance. So I just wanted to help out, and help give women that chance that they are looking for."
