Echo Dots

The 4.7-star-rated Echo Dot (3rd gen) is on sale for a sweet $25, down from $40. That’s nearly 40 percent off!

Though the Echo Dot is small, it pumps out robust, crystal clear audio. Pair the Echo Dot with another Echo Dot and you can daisy-chain them together for an awesome stereo sound experience. Alexa comes built-in, so you can always get the latest news reports, weather updates and sports scores with just the sound of your voice. You can also control other smart home devices and products.

And for the privacy-sensitive, the Echo Dot comes with multiple layers of controls and protections, including a physical button that disconnects it from your home WiFi network and turns off its microphone altogether. A steal at just 25 bucks.

“I had no idea I'd love Alexa so much — I wake up in the morning and she does the routine I've set up, and she's so comforting and useful and fun overall,” a thrilled Amazon reviewer said. “My husband and I played Skills trivia games for hours last night. If we had kids it would be even more super useful with kids workouts, stories, and games — we even had a goodnight story read to us by Alexa and it was awesome. I'm really loving it. The Echo Dot itself is pretty great — the sound quality is pretty good too. I'm really surprised by how much I like the Alexa app and the Echo Dot, because I'm a little resistant to technology, but it's pretty easy to figure out and feels like a new little buddy in the home.”

And if that oldie-but-goodie isn't recent enough for you, guess what: The new 4th-generation Echo Dot is on sale for just $35 (was $50). It has over 290,000 five-star ratings.

One fan said they love its "tiny size and phenomenal sound. "Much smaller than expected but the sound is phenomenal. I have almost every single version of the Echo and Echo dot in my house for an easy-to-use Spotify music setup to surround my upstairs with music, but this little orb is the best sounding of the lot. Highly recommended."

Echo Show 5

Consider the Echo Show 5 the smaller, sleeker cousin to the bigger Echo Show. This isn't the latest generation, but it's such a great deal at nearly 45 percent off.

Armed with a five-inch display, the Echo Show 5 is the perfect compact and lightweight companion to your nightstand. While you can use it for video chats, news reports and even streaming Hulu Plus and Prime Video, this smart home device can double as a digital alarm clock with Alexa built-in. In fact, Amazon has a wide range of personalized clock faces to choose from, so you can bring a little bit of your own personality to this device.

It’s probably one of the best ways to get weather updates and news as soon as you wake up. It’s on sale for $45 — that's $35 off!

“I love my new Echo Show 5,” wrote a five-star reviewer on Amazon. “It has a bigger footprint than the spot did on my nightstand. But, it’s much easier to see the numbers. I like that it dims itself while I’m asleep, too. And, I believe it’s the only echo with a screen that has a built-in shutter to turn off the camera. I’m not sure I like that it’s mostly a fabric covering which is more susceptible to holding dust than is plastic. All-in-all, I’m very pleased with this new addition to my echo family (I have one of each type, including the roav alexa device for the car). One fun fact is that I used the drop-in feature during my evacuation from hurricane Florence to see if I still had power... hopefully there’s no next time, but if there is, I’ll have a couple of my devices aimed at the windows so I can see more of what’s going on.”
